Weekend Casual

Hello style lovers!

I wore this outfit to run errands all day on Saturday. To me, there's (almost) nothing more comfortable than a chunky sweater and leggings!  I say "almost" because my fluffy and warm PJ's would top that. To complete the effortless look, I threw my hair in a bun.

 I can say my weekend was pretty productive. It feels so good to start a week with the house clean, organized and filled with fresh flowers :)

Oi estilosas! Usei este look para comprar algumas coisas para casa no sábado. Para mim, não tem (quase) nada mais confortável do que um sweater larguinho e leggings! Digo "quase" porque meu pijama macio e quentinho ganharia rssss. Fiz um coque para completar o look meio que "sem esforço".  Meu findi foi bem produtivo - muito bom começar a semana com a casa limpa, arrumada e cheia de flores :) Obrigada pela visita.

Vested in Studs

Hello style lovers,

When I saw this studded faux leather vest, I fell in love with it.  I decided to go with the basics : royal blue jeans (one of my favorite hues), white shirt and black booties...but I'm already visualizing other ways to pair it with (a dress, long shirt & leggings, shorts). When I buy a clothing item, I always picture different possibilities to wear it before I buy it.

These pictures were taken at a historic train station that is a silicon valley commuter hub.

Oi Estilosas! Me apaixonei logo que  vi este colete de couro com studs. Decidi combinar com peças básicas: calça jeans azul roial (uma das minhas cores preferidas), camisa branca e botinha preta...mas já estou visualizando outras maneiras de usar este bonitinho (com vestido, camisa comprida & leggings, shorts). Quando eu compro uma roupa, sempre imagino possibilidades diferentes de uso antes de comprar. Essas fotos foram tiradas em uma estação de trem histórica no vale do silício (Califórnia). Sneak Me Up

Hello my style lovers!

This is one of my favorite types of casual look:  

• loose sweater
• comfortable jeans + shoes

I recently got a few sweaters, and then I noticed they were all striped ones. Coincidence? I like stripes too much.

Minty Pleats

Hello there!

This is what  I wore yesterday for a friend's baby shower. Isn't this a cute skirt? It was definitely a summer purchase, but I'm happy to transition it into the winter by adding some tights.  I love anything pleated! Plus, the pastel mint color kind of goes together with a baby shower theme, no? I know, so cliché, but I can't help.

Este foi o look que usei ontem no chá de bebê de uma amiga. Essa saia nao é uma gracinha? Comprei no verão mas fiquei feliz em poder usá-la no inverno também. Adoro qualquer coisa plissada! Esse tom pastel 'verde menta' combina bem com chá de bebė, não? Sei, sei...muito clichê, mas fazer o que?!

Red & White Feast

Hello!

How many of you live in places where it's summer time right now?? Well, I live in California and it's been pretty cold here, but being from Brazil,  I heard that Rio reached a record setting heatwave of 109.7 (F) degrees!! That's boiling hot! So, I thought some of you would enjoy taking a look at some summer outfits.

 These pics are from my birthday weekend this past summer. My husband took me on a road day trip to Carmel & Monterey, as I love being around the ocean!

Aqui na Califórnia tem feito muuuito frio, mas ouvi falar que semana passada no Rio (talvez em outras cidades tbem?) fez um recorde de calor de 43 graus!? Foi isso mesmo? Então achei que vocês iriam gostar de ver umas fotos de look de verão (acertei?). No findi do meu niver, no verão passado daqui, eu me meu marido fizemos um passeio de carro a Carmel & Monterey, que são cidades de praia. Amo! Usei um vestido simples de renda com um cinto largo marrom combinando com a sandália, e um batom vermelho para acender o look. Saí de casa usando salto, mas levei uma sandalinha por precaução, e acabei a usando na maior parte do tempo. É sempre bom estar preparada, gente! Espero que gostem do look! 

I wore a simple white lace dress, added a large brown belt matching the sandals and a red lipstick + red purse for a pop of color. I left the house wearing heels, but also took a pair of flat sandals just in case...which I ended up wearing them most of the time - It's always good to be prepared, if you ask me :D

Silk Blouse Obsession

Hello!

One of my favorite garments is a pretty silk or chiffon blouse. It can be worn in any season, it is so comfortable, lightweight (great for packing for a trip!), easy to style and so classy (yet modern).

I pair  it with jeans, throw a leather jacket or a sweater over it on cooler days, shorts and sandals during the summer, tucked into a pencil skirt - work, dinner, party....you name it!

I have to admit that these pics are from a few months ago (taken by a dear friend), but they've been sitting here in my computer..asking to be posted... so, why not? ;)

Uma das minhas peças preferidas é a blusa de seda ou chiffon. Pode ser usada em qualquer estação, é super confortável, leve (ótima para levar em viagens), versátil e elegante (e ao mesmo tempo moderna).

Eu uso com jeans, jogo uma jaqueta de couro ou um sweater por cima nos dias mais frios, shorts e rasteirinhas no verão, por dentro de uma saia lapis - pro trabalho, jantar, festas...são várias as possibilidades!!

New Possibilities ~ Happy 2013!!

Even though a new year gives us hope for new possibilities and a feeling of renewal, I believe every day    throughout the year is a potential for new chances, changes and opportunities, as long as you have the desire to do so!

I created LirioStyle to share with you my style ideas, outfits and maybe some eating + traveling as well!

Speaking of outfits, this is what I wore for New Years Eve. A black bandage dress with gold embellishments. I'm a sucker for  gold accessories/details!

Since the dress had enough gold details and I had smokey eyes, I opted for minimal accessories (I wore just a pink and gold bracelet) and a  nude lipstick.
